University of Klagenfurt Technology Scholarships
General Information
The positive development of the regional labour market in the ICT sector has resulted in an increasing demand for skilled professionals. With its degree programmes in the field of technical sciences, the University of Klagenfurt makes a significant contribution to the training of highly qualified graduates in the ICT sector.
The University of Klagenfurt Technology Scholarships were established to attract even more highly qualified international students to the regional labour market in the ICT sector. The Technology Scholarships programme can support up to 20 highly qualified graduates of Bachelor’s programmes from specific countries/regions per academic year who are eligible for admission to one of the English Master’s degree programmes at the Faculty of Technical Sciences.
Based on an agreement with the University of Klagenfurt, the OeAD – Austria’s Agency for Education and Internationalisation – is responsible for announcing the call for applications. The OeAD also oversees the selection process, awards the scholarships and provides administrative support to selected scholarship holders applying for a residence permit for Austria.
For the entire duration of the scholarship awarded students are guided in administrative study-related matters. Moreover, they receive counselling on academic topics by academic supervisors assigned by the Faculty of Technical Sciences. In addition, scholarship holders are supported in finding a paid internship in the first year of their Master’s programme in cooperation with our corporate partners.
Through these internships and accompanying German courses, scholarship holders can already be employed in the ICT sector to a permissible extent in the second year of the Master’s programme.
