You can find the “Register for a graduation ceremony” (Anmeldung zur Akademischen Abschlussfeier) link in the Student Portal under “My applications” (Meine Anträge).
Attendance at a graduation ceremony is not compulsory. If you’re not able to attend the next available graduation ceremony, you can register to attend a later ceremony.
If you decide not to attend a graduation ceremony, you can still get a certificate (including tube). The certificate will be printed by the date of the next graduation ceremony and will be ready to collect from the Admission and Exams Office the day after the graduation ceremony.
You can only register for the graduation ceremony or order the certificate without attending a ceremony if no more than one year has elapsed between the date you completed your programme of study and the registration deadline for relevant graduation ceremony.
This period will be prolongated due to COVID-19. You will find further information in your Student Portal under the “Register for a graduation ceremony”.
