Graduation ceremonies

The next Academic Graduation Ceremonies are scheduled for March, 20^th ,2026

and will take place in the Hans-Romauch-Lecture Hall (HS A).

You have the opportunity to register for the celebration on March 20^th 2026 till February 18^th.

Spots are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. There is no waiting list.

As the number of participants per ceremony is limited due to the space available, graduates choose the respective time-slot when they register for the ceremony.

The number of guests is not limited.

Parking: The parking lots of the university can be used free of charge on the days of the academic Ceremony.

Graduation ceremonies

You can find the “Register for a graduation ceremony” (Anmeldung zur Akademischen Abschlussfeier) link in the Student Portal under “My applications” (Meine Anträge).

Ordering a certificate without attending a graduation ceremony

Attendance at a graduation ceremony is not compulsory.

If you decide not to attend a graduation ceremony, you can still get a certificate (including tube). The certificate will be printed by the date of the next graduation ceremony and will be ready to collect from the Admission and Exams Office the day after the graduation ceremony.

You can only register for the graduation ceremony or order the certificate without attending a ceremony if no more than one year has elapsed between the date you completed your programme of study and the registration deadline for relevant graduation ceremony.
