Registering as a continuing student

During the admission or extension period of each semester, students at the University of Klagenfurt have to pay their university fees and student union fee (including insurance). Upon paying these fees, you are registered as a continuing student for the following semester.

You can find details on the fees you are required to pay, as well as your customer information, under the “University fees” menu item in your online student profile (accessed via the Student Portal).

Once the fees have been received in the university’s account (within the appointed period of notice), you will be registered as a continuing student.

Students taking joint programmes of study pay the university and student union fee just once per semester.

If you are a student at more than one university in Austria, you must let your other universities know that you are continuing your programme of study. You are only registered automatically as a continuing student at the university where you paid your university fee/student union fee.
