The MSc in Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity provides students with a sound understanding of both disciplines. It puts considerable emphasis on their intersection, and on the social, ethical and legal aspects that arise in their practical use.
The MSc in Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity is a two-year taught programme. It consists of three semesters of taught courses followed by a research project leading to the submission of a thesis and its defence at the end of the fourth term.

The MSc programme aims to equip students with a sound understanding of the techniques of Artificial Intelligence, as well as the foundational techniques that underpin Cybersecurity. Considerable emphasis is placed on their intersection (i.e. Artificial Intelligence techniques to support Cybersecurity, and Cybersecurity techniques that enable secure Artificial Intelligence) and on the social, ethical and legal aspects that arise in their practical use.
To apply for the Master’s programme, applicants have to register online first. After they have created their personal account for registration, applicants have to upload a letter of motivation in English as well as further documents needed for the administrative procedure, such as a CV, a transcript of records, a Bachelor’s certificate as well as a copy of their passport. Incomplete applications cannot be considered.

Applicants need to have a BSc degree in either computer science, mathematics, statistics, or any related field within the wider range of science or technology degree programmes; in particular applicants need to demonstrate some knowledge of basic computer science concepts (either via courses/modules during your BSc or any kind of projects). Applicants also need to demonstrate proficiency in English, and the personal and professional qualities that make them suitable for this MSc degree programme.

Graduates of the Master’s degree programme in Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity are distinguished by their special expertise in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity. They are able to develop and implement complex solutions based on Artificial Intelligence Cybersecurity, taking into account social, ethical and legal aspects. In addition, the Master’s programme prepares graduates for doctoral studies in the field of computer science.
Upon successful completion of the Master’s degree programme, students can continue their studies in the Doctoral degree programme.
Within the scope of the free electives and in accordance with the respective curriculum, students can receive credits for individual courses or for entire modules from other subject areas.
