The Information Security Office is responsible for safeguarding the university’s information, data and IT systems against internal and external threats. It ensures that the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information are maintained at all times, thereby providing sustained support for the university’s business processes and strategic objectives.
Its core responsibilities include the development, implementation and monitoring of information security policies, standards and processes, as well as the management of risks in the areas of information and IT security. In addition, the Information Security Office provides advice on all matters relating to information security, supports projects and new technologies from a security perspective, and ensures compliance with legal, regulatory and normative requirements. Training and awareness-raising initiatives help to embed a sustainable security culture across the entire organisation.
