Finding a suitable accommodation in Klagenfurt is not easy: the demand keeps growing and rent prices keep going up. In order to increase your chances to get the type of accommodation you wish, it is important that you apply well in advance.

The OeAD-Housing Office manages accommodation for international students in student dormitories: http://housing.oead.at

Please note that the OeAD-Housing Office can offer only a limited number of rooms, which are alloccated on a first-come-first-served basis. In order to apply for accommodation with the OeAD-Housing Office follow this link http://housing.oead.at/en/applyhere and click on „apply here“ at the bottom of the page. After completing the online application you will receive an email with instructions on how to transfer the reservation deposit.

The OeAD-Housing Office can reserve accommodation only for those students who completed the online registration AND paid the deposit. OeAD will do their best to fulfil your accommodation wishes according to availability.

Please note that the minimum period of rent in student dormitories is one semester:

• Winter semester October, 1st – February, 14th
• Summer semester February, 15th – June, 30th

Monthly rate: between € 255,- and € 365,- (academic year 2019/20)

IMPORTANT: We strongly recommend students who need a housing confirmation for their visa application to apply for accommodation with OeAD!
