Multi-functional printers

Using your AAU card, you can copy, scan and print at any of the Canon multi-functional printers located on campus.

At present, 6 multi-functional printers are located in the University Library: in the 2 copy rooms in the cube (level 2 and 3, next to the lift), each equipped with 3 printers. 3 more printers are located in the central building (level 3).

Scanning, printing and copying functions are available 24 hours after receiving your student card. You can then use any of the multi-functional printers.

Attention: this time span also applies when obtaining a new card (after replacement of a damaged card or loss of your card).

Loading your printing and copying account

Since July 2017, you find the heading “copying and printing account” (“Druck- und Kopierkonto”) on your electronic business card (“Visitenkarte”) in the campus system. Here you can check your printing and copying account. You can pay into this account online via a payment provider (EPS or credit card). The sum paid in is immediately available.

Alternatively, you can pay at the AAU cash desk (Finance Department, room E.0.39).

The heading “central computing services” (ZID) in the staff portal gives you detailed information concerning your printing and copying account as well as an exact description of the loading process.

Attention: please log into the staff portal using your university access data.

Scanning

Using “scan to mail”, you can scan originals at the Canon multi-functional printers and forward them to your own university mailbox. Sending data to another mailbox is not possible. This service is free.

Alternative: the book scanner! Please bring a memory stick!

The University Library has installed 4 book scanners in its reading room (level 3, opposite information desk) that can be used free of charge (memory stick or external hard disk necessary).

Tip: USB sticks can also be purchased at the loan desk (Klagenfurt University merchandising).
