On 5 November, the Best Performer Awards 2024/25, the Roland Mittermeir Prize 2024 and, for the first time, the Dissertation Prize 2024/25 were presented at the University meets Industry: Talents for Carinthia event.
Christoph Rauter is in his sixth semester of studying Information and Communications Engineering at the University of Klagenfurt, and is currently writing his Bachelor’s thesis. He took courses at the university while still in secondary school. During his studies he has also worked as a tutor at the university for several semesters and recently spent a semester abroad at Trinity College in Dublin.

Katharina Stengg is a doctoral student in Computer Science, currently working and researching in the SERG – Software Engineering Research Group at the Department of Informatics Systems (ISYS). She previously completed a Master’s degree in Informatics at the University of Klagenfurt and before that a Bachelor’s degree in Informatics at the University of Technology in Graz.
Some want to simplify the shopping experience, others want to prepare financial data, and yet others want to offer businesses customized AI tools. What unites these potential founders is that they all use AI technologies to solve challenging problems for various target groups. The six prospective founders are supported in developing their ideas by vor.GRÜNDEN, an initiative run by the Carinthian Economic Promotion Fund (KWF). Isabella Hold, spin-off manager at the University of Klagenfurt, is there to provide support.
