Our department has an opening for a full time Senior Scientist position (postdoc, 3 years) in social studies of science, or science & technology studies respectively. We are looking for a creative and team-minded person who is willing to engage in new topics and subject areas, in a lively research & teaching environment including other social scientists, humanities scholars, and students from a variety of backgrounds. Department trip in the vicinity of Klagenfurt

Last week our Department got together for an inspiring trip in the vicinity of Klagenfurt. We went on a hike from Sterneckstraße via Kreuzbergl to Lake Wörthersee. After lunch, we took a boat to Pörtschach and enjoyed a walk together in the evening sun.

Helene Sorgner wird Universitätsassistentin (praedoc) am Institut für Technik- und Wissenschaftsforschung

Wir freuen uns bekannt zu geben, dass Helene Sorgner mit Februar 2021 eine Stelle als Universitätsassistentin (praedoc) am Institut für Technik- und Wissenschaftsforschung an der Universität Klagenfurt antritt, und uns so als Kollegin an unserer Universität erhalten bleibt. Sie setzt zudem ihre Mitarbeit am FWF-Projekt „Producing novelty and securing credibility: LHC experiments from the Perspective of Social Studies of Science“ am Institut für Wissenschaftskommunikation und Hochschulforschung fort.

Martina Merz becomes Vize-Rector for Research
