PhD Konferenz: „Dual-Use-Technologies and Artificial Intelligence“, 13.-14.11. 2026 in Rijeka

Dear doctoral researchers,

 We are pleased to invite you to apply for a unique opportunity to actively participate in the International PhD Conference on Dual-Use Technologies and Artificial Intelligence, which will take place from November 13 to 14, 2026 at the University of Rijeka. The event is jointly organised by the University of Rijeka and the University of Klagenfurt.

 The conference brings together early career researchers from diverse disciplines with the aim of fostering critical thinking and cross-disciplinary collaboration in the context of dual-use technologies and artificial intelligence. It provides an excellent platform for exchanging ideas, building international networks, and presenting your research to an engaged academic audience in a 15-minute presentation.

 In this context, the University of Klagenfurt awards a total of six conference grants to selected doctoral candidates of the University of Klagenfurt. These grants cover travel and accommodation expenses. The funding is provided with the kind support of the University of Rijeka.

 To apply, please submit an abstract of up to 300 words by August 16, 2026 to the Doc.Service (doc [dot] service [at] aau [dot] at). We particularly encourage submissions from doctoral candidates across all disciplines, including but not limited to technology, law, social sciences, humanities, economics, ethics, and other related fields. We welcome diverse perspectives and interdisciplinary approaches to the conference theme.
