Scholarship for attending a summer or winter school abroad
Special funding for online summer/winter schools and language courses in the academic year 2020/21
Due to COVID 19 many interesting summer/winter schools and language courses will take place at our partner universities in digital form.
In this case students will have no travel and accommodation costs, but there will be course fees. For this reason students can apply for a reduced scholarship. The grant per week is € 100,–.
The application procedure remains the same, but make sure to confirm in your letter of motivation that the course will take place online.
The scholarship for attending a winter or summer schools worldwide supports students who complete a winter or summer school at a partner university abroad for a period of at least two weeks to a maximum of four weeks.
Applications are open to students of all fields of study.
Enrolment in the second eligible semester
Status as a degree student at the Alpen-Adria University Klagenfurt
Online application via student portal/MOBIS: “My applications” > “File new application” > Applications related to mobility programmes > “Scholarships” > “Scholarship for attending a summer or winter school at a partner university”
Upload the following documents:
1 Letter of recommendation from the director of studies
Confirmation of registration for the summer or winter school
Two weeks before the beginning of the summer or winter school
Terms of the programme
EUR 400,00 for a two-week course, EUR 600,00 for a three-week course and EUR 800,00 for a four-week course.
Consideration will only be given to complete applications that are received by the application deadline.
After the mobility
Every student who receives a scholarship must submit an outgoing student feedback form to the International Office within a month of completing their stay abroad. The letter confirming attendance on the course should be uploaded in MOBIS. The scholarship is transferred after the stay abroad has come to an end and after the required documents have been provided.
Fulfilling all of the application criteria does not entitle a student to receive financial support. Funding is awarded on a competitive basis and according to the funds available.
