Informelle Kompetenzmessung (IKM) Englisch

At BIFIE’s request, LTC has taken on a 3-year project aiming at creating English materials for informal assessment for grades 6 and 7 in the four skills of Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking. These tests will be made publicly available to teachers and be used for diagnostic purposes.

Designed as self-evaluation tools, these diagnostic instruments will help teachers prepare their students for the E8 Standards Tests by providing an accurate diagnosis of where their students are in comparison to what will be expected of them in the Standards Tests.

The teachers will be provided with instructions on how to assess and further on interpret their students’ performances. A didactic commentary will help teachers assist their students in understanding the strategy underlying each item and solving the items.

Before publishing, all the items to be used as diagnostic instruments will be tested in small-scale pilot tests in order to be able to study their psychometric properties

Erstellung von Instrumenten zur informellen Leistungsmessung in den rezeptiven und den produktiven Fertigkeiten für die 6. und 7. Schulstufe

Zur Implementierung der Bindungsstandards Englisch im österreichischen Schulwesen werden für die 6. und 7. Schulstufe Instrumente zur informellen Leistungsmessung für die vier Fertigkeiten Hörverstehen, Leseverstehen, schriftliche Produktion und mündliche Produktion entwickelt. Die Instrumente beruhen auf den Test-Konstrukten für die E8-Standardstests. Sie werden nach Abschluss des Projektes für die Lehrenden an Schulen in Papierform oder in elektronischem Format verfügbar sein. Die Materialien erlauben bei Einhaltung der ebenfalls am LLTC entwickelten Anleitungen zur Auswertung eine ungefähre Einschätzung des CEFR-Kompetenzniveaus von SchülerInnen. Die Materialien enthalten auch didaktische Kommentare zu den einzelnen Aufgaben. Die Materialien sind durch ein eigens zu entwickelndes Verfahren an das COMMON EUROPEAN FRAMEWORK angebunden.
