Adult Learning and Education and Vocational Education and Training
Profile
Research and teaching in the areas of adult learning and education and vocational education and training unfold against the background of social modernization processes in the conflicting fields of social differences. In research and teaching we take into account not only the processes of adult learning in the fields of general, political and cultural adult education, both within institutions and in the sense of informal learning, but also vocational education and job-related continuing education. As such, we understand scientific continuing education as part of professional development. These areas of research and practice lie within the conflicting areas of subject, work and society.
