Student Counselling Services

Starting university is usually an exciting time filled with many new experiences and challenges. Often, it is impossible to avoid a few initial hurdles. The Student Counselling Services team provide help when it comes to selecting a course of study or switching to a different degree programme. Our experts can help you to develop your educational and professional ideas, to explore and compare alternative educational options, or to plan and implement concrete steps for further action.

Counselling is provided individually or in groups and lasts for an agreed period of time. The services are provided free of charge,  confidentially and, if desired, anonymously.

Be First! Mentoring Programme

Be First! is a very special mentoring programme for prospective students. Specially trained mentors, who are themselves students at the University of Klagenfurt, encourage young people who hope to be the first in their family to take up a course of study. The mentors provide initial insights into studying and support prospective students in choosing a course of study while they are in their final year of school and during their first months as students.
