The Österreichische Hochschüler:innenschaft (ÖH) is your student lobby group in university politics and helps you with questions about your studies. Here you can find out more about what the ÖH does for you: What does the ÖH actually do?

Come to the ÖH Info-Days with your questions or contact the student representatives of your subject directly.

The ÖH Info-Days in the auditorium of University of Klagenfurt for your start of studies:
26 September 2023, 9-12 a.m.
27 September 2023, 9-12 a.m.
28 September 2023, 1-4 p.m.
Campus tours: Tuesday/Wednesday, 9/10/11 a.m. and Thursday, 1/2/3 p.m., meeting point at the stand of the Maturant:innenberatung.

Welcome Days on 2-3 October: Make contacts and collect your first ECTS credit!

At the Welcome Days you will get important information about your studies and help getting started in university life! Take this opportunity to get to know your fellow students and professors. Participation in the Welcome Days also counts as a course and earns you 1 ECTS credit!

What do you have to do? Register for the 000.100 Welcome Days course in the student portal, take part in the eight interactive info lectures on the Moodle learning platform and attend the programme on campus on 2 or 3 October 2023.

Tip: The programme on 2 October is mostly in German, the programme on 3 October is mainly in English.

BeFirst! Mentoring programme for first-generation students

BeFirst! is your mentoring programme if you are the first in your family to study. Our mentors are students at the university themselves and will support you in all aspects of your studies. They will introduce you to the academic learning culture and support you in all related matters, such as creating a timetable, registering for exams or applying for a scholarship. Tip: The course “BeFirst! Schreibwerkstatt und Coaching für First-Generation-Studierende” accompanies you in your first semester: The course connects you with other students and helps you to overcome the hurdle of academic work. There is room for your individual questions, regardless of your field of study. You will receive 2 ECTS points for the completed BeFirst! course and can have them credited to your open electives.
