Defensio by Dunja Pucher
Dunja Pucher successfully defended her doctoral thesis entitled “On the Stable Set and Graph Coloring Problems: Semidefinite Relaxations and a Quantum Annealing Approach” on April 27, 2026.
She successfully defended her dissertation, taking the final step on her long journey towards a doctorate with flying colours and confidence. Her advisor, Dr. Franz Rendl, explains that his role was relatively straightforward: Dr. Pucher engaged independently with the research topics he had proposed, pursuing them with great creativity and a keen mathematical instinct, uncovering a number of surprising new insights.
We congratulate Dr. Pucher on this success and wish her all the best for her future professional career!
