AINF researchers receive ACM SIGSOFT Distinguished Paper Award

Researchers of TU Graz, TU Dortmund, and AAU have developed a new technique that automatically predicts which formulas in a spreadsheet are most probably faulty. The work was accepted for publication at the prestigious ICSE 2018 conference (NIER track) and received an ACM SIGSOFT Distinguished Paper Award.

We’re going to PerCom18 to Athens

IEEE PerCom is established as the premier annual scholarly venue in the areas of pervasive computing and communications and also acts as a platform for several workshops.

The Department of Applied Informatics (AINF) contributes to two workshops of PerCom 2018 (19.-23. March 2018 in Athens):

  • SmarterAAL (Advanced Technologies for Smarter Assisted Living solutions)
  • CoMoRea (Context and Activity Modeling and Recognition)

Can you build the best music recommendation system?

Researchers of TU Dortmund and AAU have recently successfully participated in the KKBOX Music Recommendation Challenge in the context of the WSDM conference. With their learning-based method they could secure the 8th place among over 1,000 teams that registered for the competition on Kaggle.com.
