The University Centre for Women’s and Gender Studies (UZF*G) is a cross-faculty institution of the University of Klagenfurt, which advocates a gender-equitable and diversity-sensitive university. The UZF*G stands for an active equal opportunities policy and contributes to the structural development of equal opportunities in the university context through its work in terms of qualitative women’s promotion and gender studies.
The UZF*G’s areas of responsibility and activity primarily include:

The University Centre for Women’s and Gender Studies is an organisational unit according to Section 19 (para. 2 line 7) of the Universities Act (UG) 2002. The tasks of the UZF*G within the framework of the equality strategy are based on the Equal Opportunities Plan (Part E/III of the Statutes) and the Women’s Promotion Plan (Part E/I of the Statutes) of the University of Klagenfurt. The aim is to create a working and studying environment “in which fair cooperation in the sense of equal opportunities, diversity and anti-discrimination is lived“.
