DOCTORAL DEGREE PROGRAMME
To request the appointment of expert reviewers, you must submit the application for approval of expert reviewers of a thesis (DISS3) via the student portal. The expert reviewers must comprise two persons, at least one of whom must be external, with a relevant teaching authorisation (venia docendi) or equivalent qualification. Following approval by the doctorate advisory committee, the reviewers are appointed by the Vice Rector of Studies.
Potential expert reviewers should be contacted before the application is submitted in order to secure their consent to act as expert reviewers. One of the expert reviewers must subsequently serve as a member of the examining board at the oral defence. Please note that you must also upload the curriculum vitae with contact details in the case of external persons.
Please note: Your supervisor cannot act as an expert reviewer for your thesis.
Please note: The doctoral advisory board Dr. techn. discourages suggesting biased reviewers. A co-authorship with the candidate definitely constitutes a bias, a co-authorship within the last 5 years with a person of the supervision team (supervisor or advisor) also constitutes a bias.
