The University of Klagenfurt (AAU) is a public campus university in the south of Austria, where around 13,300 students study and conduct research. As a state university in Austria, the University of Klagenfurt can offer your study programme free of charge. If your studies progress swiftly, there are no costs for you as an EU/EEA citizen (except the ÖH student union fee of around EUR 25 per semester).

Klagenfurt is one of the major cities in Austria where living costs are still manageable. Rooms in student residences or shared flats as well as small studio apartments can be had for around EUR 350 to EUR 600. Certain programmes offer scholarships you can apply for.
