Fulbright Professor Susan Margulies
Susan Margulies is Fulbright Professor at the Mathematics Department in the summer term 2017
Susan received her PhD from the University of California in Davis. After post-doc years at Rice University and at the Pennsylvania State University she is currently at the Mathematics Department of the US Naval Academy in Annapolis. Her research interests are in the fields of Optimization, Graph Theory, Computer Algebra, Algorithms and Complexity and Cryptography.
During her stay in Klagenfurt she will give a course on “Algebraic Methods in Discrete Optimization” and will work with students and faculty of the Karl Popper Kolleg “Modeling – Simulation – Optimization of discrete, continuous and stochastic systems.”
