According to the latest QS World University Rankings (WUR) 2023, the University of Klagenfurt has achieved its best ranking to date, moving up from the 501-510 ranking group (last year) to rank 486. For the first time ever, the university is among the top 500 and has been ranked among the best.
The THE Ranking 2022 represents the first time that the University of Klagenfurt has also been ranked in the field of “Engineering”. Being ranked second among Austrian universities at the first attempt is due in no small part to the outstanding research achievements of the scientists and the field’s high degree of internationality. The relatively young Faculty of Technical Sciences is confident in maintaining its chosen course – and continues to reach for the stars.
After placing among the top 50 best young universities in the Times Higher Education (THE) Young University Rankings, the University of Klagenfurt has now also gained a place in the excellent ranking bracket 201-250 in the field of Engineering, thus scoring the second-best ranking among Austrian universities (Vienna University of Technology is ranked in bracket 176-200).
