Visit us on 15 March 2024 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Open Day and gain an insight into the full range of degree programmes offered at the University of Klagenfurt! Our lecturers and students will give you individual advice to help you find the degree programme that suits your interests.
On this day, you can also attend lectures and information sessions, get to know our service centres and explore the campus and library on guided tours.

The Open Day provides you with comprehensive information about studying at the University of Klagenfurt. At our university, you can choose from 21 Bachelor’s degree programmes in the fields of business, technology, culture, languages and 14 teacher training subjects. These programmes will provide you with the best possible preparation for the demands of professional life. The University of Klagenfurt offers you the opportunity to further specialise, broaden your knowledge and engage in academic work in a further 30 Master’s degree programmes and 5 doctoral degree programmes.

You will also have the opportunity to meet graduates, find out about their career paths and ask them questions in person.
The Austrian National Union of Students (ÖH) will also be introducing itself. This organisation represents the interests of all students. This session will provide you with information about ÖH activities and will offer tips for studying.

Attendance certificates will be issued by the Student Guidance Service team (stand no. 10) from 12 noon onwards.
Lines C, 6 and 8 of the public transport company Stadtwerke Klagenfurt stop at the bus stop right in front of the University. Lines 2 and 9 stop just a few minutes’ walk away at Minimundus. You can find the timetables here: https://www.stw.at/privat/mobilitaet/
Take the train to Klagenfurt’s main railway station (Hauptbahnhof). From there you can take bus line C or 6, which goes straight to the University of Klagenfurt every 10 minutes. The timetable is available here: https://routenplaner.kaerntner-linien.at/
Direction Vienna/Graz – Klagenfurt:
Take the A2 motorway towards Carinthia, exit Klagenfurt West/Messe, then exit Klagenfurt University/Minimundus/Stadion (duration: approx. 3.5 hours)
Direction Salzburg – Klagenfurt:
Take the A10 motorway towards Kärnten/Villach, then the A2 towards Klagenfurt. Exit at the University of Klagenfurt/Minimundus/Stadion (duration: approx. 2.5 h)
Direction Linz – Klagenfurt:
Take the A1 motorway towards Salzburg, then the A10 towards Villach, continue to Klagenfurt. Exit at the University of Klagenfurt/Minimundus/Stadion (duration: approx. 3.5 hours)
Direction Bruck a. d. Mur/Leoben – Klagenfurt:
Take the S6 Semmering motorway towards Zeltweg, then the S36 Murtal motorway and then the 317 Friesacher motorway to Klagenfurt, then towards Villach/Wörthersee/Messe, exit Klagenfurt Universität/Minimundus/Stadion (duration: around 2 hours)
Direction Lienz – Klagenfurt:
Take the B100 towards Spittal an der Drau, then the A10 towards Villach, then the A2 towards Klagenfurt, exit Klagenfurt West/Messe, then exit Klagenfurt Universität/Minimundus/Stadion (duration: around 2 hours)
Direction Innsbruck – Klagenfurt:
Take the A12 motorway towards Salzburg/Munich (“Deutsches Eck” / “German Corner”). In Salzburg take the A10 motorway towards Villach, continue to Klagenfurt. Exit at the University of Klagenfurt/Minimundus/Stadion (duration: approx. 4.5 h)
