A well-functioning economic environment is crucial for a prospering society. Every single one of us is an economic agent as consumer, worker, taxpayer, investor or voter. Making informed decisions in each of these roles requires knowledge concerning the relevant interactions and institutions in an economy.

QED is committed to providing high-quality education on economic issues to our students and the general public. Our teaching program is in line with international standards, harmonised and addresses current issues. Our research is published in international and highly ranked journals and we are able to gain competitive research grants from both domestic and international funding organizations. Our advice, offered to individuals, companies and both private and public institutions, is based on scientific principles and rooted in our internationally recognised research and experience. We are committed to excellence in all our processes and products in research, teaching and administration. Being primarily financed by taxpayers increases our obligation to strive for cost-effectiveness.
