Sonja Grabner-Kräuter is an associate professor of marketing and international management at Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt, Austria. After graduating from Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz, Austria, she worked in the foreign department of a major Austrian bank for several years. She holds a PhD in social and economic sciences from the Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz and a postdoctoral qualification (Habilitation) from the Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt. She has been a visiting professor at several universities, e.g. the University of Northern Iowa, the University of Maribor, Slovenia, and the University of Linz, Austria. Her research interests include consumer trust, online consumer behavior and consumer perceptions of corporate social responsibility. Her work has appeared in various journals including the Journal of Advertising, Journal of Business Ethics, International Journal of Human-Computer Studies, Journal of Product and Brand Management, International Journal of Bank Marketing, European Management Journal, and Journal of Medical Internet Research. She currently serves on the editorial review board of the International Journal of Bank Marketing.
