Doctoral Chill & Connect
This gathering is open to all doctoral candidates – truly all:
– at every stage of the doctoral journey, from newly enrolled candidates to those in the final phase.
– from every faculty, discipline, and research area.
– whether from Austria or abroad.
– regardless of whether employed by the University of Klagenfurt or not.
The event follows several goals that focus on community, exchange, and support:
– To offer a break from the thesis – a chance to step outside your daily academic routine and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere.
– To foster cross-disciplinary, informal networking, enabling you to meet doctoral candidates from other fields whom you might not encounter in your regular academic environment.
– To provide space for open exchange about opportunities, challenges, and support structures related to doctoral education.
– To create a networking opportunity especially for international doctoral candidates.
– To offer a special chance for doctoral candidates without employment at the university, giving those with fewer everyday connections to the university a relaxed environment to meet peers and feel more integrated into the doctoral community.
Every doctoral candidate attending will receive two vouchers for two free drinks. Please do not forget to bring your student identity card.
