Doctoral Degree Programmes at the Faculty of Technical Sciences

The Faculty of Technical Sciences (TEWI) is committed to providing excellent student support, teaching and research. With a strong practical focus and an emphasis on areas of excellence (computer science, information technology, technical mathematics, mathematics education and computer science education), the technical degree programmes offer a wide range of opportunities for pursuing a doctorate.

Within the framework of thematic doctoral programmes, course content and teaching methods are coordinated to reflect the main areas of research. A thematic doctoral programme does not have its own independent curriculum, but rather serves as an extension of the standard doctoral programme. In addition, doctoral students receive tailored support in their chosen field and are encouraged to pursue an internationally competitive academic career. The individually designed programme structure ensures excellent research results at the doctoral level.
