Retrospective on ChangeDistiller

Martin Pinzger got invited by top ranked journal IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering (IEEE TSE) to write a retrospective of their work on ChangeDistiller, published by this journal in 2007. This work was selected by IEEE as one of the most influential papers of IEEE TSE’s 4th decade. The retrospective is available here.

Katharina Stengg is a doctoral student in Computer Science, currently working and researching in the SERG – Software Engineering Research Group at the Department of Informatics Systems (ISYS).  She previously completed a Master’s degree in Informatics at the University of Klagenfurt and before that a Bachelor’s degree in Informatics at the University of Technology in Graz.

Defense of Melanie Siebenhofer

Melanie Siebenhofer successfully defended her dissertation, entitled “A Provably Good Connection: Spanning Trees, Edge Expansion, and Semidefinite Programming”, on March 20, 2025, with an  mpressive presentation. This marks the fifth defense by a doctoral candidate from the doc.funds doctoral school “Modeling – Analysis – Optimization of discrete, continuous, and stochastic  ystems.”
