A reunion with … Margit Heissenberger

Margit Heissenberger studied Educational Science in Klagenfurt and earned her doctorate in Psychology. After many years in Vienna, Brussels and New York, she now lives in Velden again and is the managing director of the “Initiative für Kärnten” (Initiative for Carinthia). Dr. Rosita Anna Ernst completed her diploma and doctoral studies in Psychology at AAU Klagenfurt. Back then, she was involved with the ÖH (Austrian Student Union) for a long time, also as chairwoman. Today she is team leader at Caritas and runs her own practice in Vienna as a systemic family therapist and child and youth therapist. “A rocking ship, limited internet and repeated trips out in the dinghy between the actual PR work.” This is how Melanie Aldrian, graduate of the Alpen-Adria-Universität, describes a day in her life when she’s out on location working for Greenpeace International. Originally from the Austrian region of Styria, she has been working as a media spokesperson for Greenpeace CEE in Vienna and for Greenpeace International since February 2011.
