On 28 June 2018, Friederike Wall was elected a Scientific Advisory Board Member by the Executive Committee, chaired by Christiane Spiel.
For her paper “Coordination and Search for New Solutions: An Agent-based Study on the Tension in Boundary Systems”, researcher Friederike Wall received the “Best Application Paper Award” at the International Conference on Decision Economics (DECON 2019) in Ávila (Spain) in June 2019.
Economists endeavour to emulate the behaviour of actors in economic contexts in order to calculate the consequences. The difficulty is this: Many at times restrictive assumptions concerning the behaviour of actors do not reflect the real world. A new project funded by the Anniversary Fund of the OeNB (Oesterreichische Nationalbank) aims to get a better grasp on reality.
